Ponto is our first dog , and we have 3 kids age 8 , 10 and 11. We got him just before Christmas . We had been considering the ups and downs of looking after a dog with a busy family life and a daughter with asthma and allergies. Frank and Maureen were wonderful at listening to us and helping us make the right decision. I get a lot more exercise and the kids are having to grow up a bit. My wife seems to love our Ponto more than she does any of us! We look forward to warmer weather and summer swims. He is a very calm puppy, smart and easy to train. I couldn't ask for a better experience!

Indeed, we had the most wonderful experience with you, Maureen and Frank. First, unlike other breeders, you gave us the chance to   pick our choice puppy out of Bella's beautiful litter.  I know this is uncommon practice and one which we greatly appreciated.  Second, it is our feeling that you two had and probably still do have an unusual bond with the puppies and that this contributed to their wonderful care and general well being.  Third, it was and still is comforting to know I can call on you for advice about his care.  For all of the above, we are grateful and wish Bella and her new family the very best. We couldn't ask for better breeders than Frank and Maureen.  They are only an email away.  I was having some difficulties with Diego soon after we got him in regards to walking on the leash.  I mentioned it in an email to Maureen and that afternoon Frank was at my door to see if he could help.

I got called into work soon after Diego came to live with us and Maureen took Diego for me so he would not be left alone while I worked.  She WANTED to spend time with him.  They go above and beyond what is required of a breeder. 

Frank and Maureen really care about their dogs.  They send info re nutrition, training, grooming etc.  Anything they think we would find helpful  

 We still are in contact on a weekly basis even though they are south for the winter.  They feel like part of our family and we cannot wait for them to come home.

Maureen and Frank will go the extra mile!

 We found our sweet Edward on a vacation on Prince Edward Island last November, 2007.  Friends brought us over to see the litter because we have an older Portie and they knew we would enjoy seeing Bella's beautiful offspring.  Needless to say, we had to have Edward.  But we had an arduous flight schedule home and couldn't take him with us. 

We arranged to have Frank put him on a direct flight out of Bangor, Maine the following week.  Frank drove all the way there only to have the flight canceled due to snow!  So he had to drive all the way back to PEI and do it all over again when the weather got better.  Frank made two round trips to Bangor to get Edward to us without complaint.  And Edward is now quite the seasoned car traveler - all I have to say is "Road Trip!" and he's there! 

Maureen and Frank were dedicated to getting our puppy to us safely, no matter what - and knew everything about getting a puppy from Canada to the US.  So anyone wanting a wonderful Portie shouldn't hesitate because of distance.  Frank and Maureen will make it work.  And your pup will have dual citizenship!
